Google Docs

Imagine creating a quiz or test and having your student complete online. The best is yet to come. - The answers to each quiz or test question will be compiled for you and sent to a spreadsheet for private viewing with the option of sharing with others with a Google account. Your test or quiz can include various formats. Open-ended, multiple choice, true -false, choose from a list, or rank order or any combination. This can also be used as an assignment or review of material presented live or online. Google Docs can do this. See your CFF coach for more details and help in setting up.

280 Slides: PowerPoint made fast and easy, online

So you have that student who doesn't have PowerPoint at home and is a bit shy about using Virtually Connected. This is an on-line application that will allow student to create a PowerPoint like presentation at home.

In it, you can create a presentation, theme it, add graphics and video, and then present it, share it via Slideshare, or download it as a PowerPoint or PDF file. It's so smooth to use that it's hard to tell the difference in the experience between working in a traditional presentation app like Microsoft PowerPoint or Apple Keynote. It doesn't have a traditional app's over-the-top feature set, but it's so fast and easy to use you'll probably not notice that.

Many of you have used cassette tapes to record audio of a lesson, or audio of an oral report or presentation. In today world, cassette players are being replaced by MP3 players. Audacity allows you to create MP3 files for download to either a computer, MP3 player, or the web for access from anywhere with an Internet connection. Audacity is pre-loaded on CFF laptops and is also available as a free download from http://audacity.sourceforge.net/
Audacity provides the user with tools which were never available using cassettes tapes. You can record multiple tracks, fade-in, fade-out, add white noise, cut out unwanted pauses or background noise, and amplify if your recording is too soft. The list goes on and on.
Interested in using Audacity in your classroom? Contact your CFF coach for more details.
